SARA Participation and Federal Financial Responsibility Composite Scores
SARA community members have recently raised questions and sought more information on the topic of U.S. Department of Education (ED) Federal Financial Responsibility Composite Scores (FFRCS). This is an important, standardized eligibility requirement outlined in the SARA Policy Manual (2.5.c Financial Responsibilities of SARA States) which non-public SARA-participating institutions that participate in Title IV Federal Financial Aid programs must meet (and the same calculation methodology is also used for non-Title IV institutions SARA eligibility). This area of SARA policy has also been addressed by proposals in the SARA Policy Modification Process (PMP).
To learn more about this topic, Dave McClintock, CPA, Managing Director of McClintock & Associates, will lead a webinar for the SARA community on Monday, June 23 from 12-1pm MT.
Prior to joining McClintock & Associates, Dave held various positions in the investment industry, most recently as an analyst for a large fund of hedge funds. In 2022, Dave was chosen to be the first advisor for Negotiated Rulemaking who was selected due to experience auditing institutions that participate in Title IV. He filled that non-voting role for the Institutional and Programmatic Eligibility Committee which tackled 90/10, Gainful Employment, and Change in Ownership along with other key topics. McClintock & Associates is a public accounting firm dedicated to helping institutions of Higher Education stay compliant.
Questions can be submitted and will be answered during the webinar. The program recording and slides will be available on the NC-SARA website soon after the webinar date.
