Ashley Rasmussen

Ashley Rasmussen joined NC-SARA in 2021 as the Director of Finance. She oversees the day to day accounting and finance operations for the organization. Rasmussen brings with her more than 13 years of experience in higher education.

Before joining NC-SARA, she spent five years overseeing more than $22 million in funds, including those from sponsored projects, general, gift and auxiliary funds as the Director of Operations and Finance at the University of Colorado Boulder’s BioFrontiers Institute.

Ashley came to Colorado from North Carolina, where she served as assistant to the department chair of Biomedical Engineering at Duke University. Among her responsibilities were event planning, grant administration, faculty recruitment and human resources, including promotion and tenure. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communication from Boise State University and is a Certified Research Administrator.
